Badgley Phelps has appointed research director Tim Thomas as its new chief investment officer, succeeding Steve Phelps, who previously stepped down from his role as CEO in January 2024 but will stay on with the firm as a wealth manager and research analyst.
Thomas joined Badgley Phelps in 2008 and has more than 27 years of experience in financial planning and portfolio management. He specialized in security analysis and selection, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and alternative investments. Phelps has been with Badgley Phelps for more than a quarter century and in his new role will be primarily focused on building client relationships.
The Seattle-based RIA became a partner firm of Focus Financial Partners in June 2021 and, according to its latest Form ADV filed in September 2024, manages over $5.1B in client assets, including nearly $4.8B for high-net-worth individuals.
