Job Description: As the Digital Marketing Director at Dakota, you won’t just be driving marketing initiatives; you’ll be shaping how we connect, nurture, and grow our audience. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on strategic challenges, loves data, and has a passion for creating seamless, impactful experiences. You’ll lead our digital marketing efforts with a special focus on optimizing our email campaigns, driving lead generation, and enhancing inbound marketing initiatives.

Dakota’s marketing has grown significantly, with a variety of programs that require dedicated attention. From events like Dakota Live!, Dakota Cocktails, the Emerging Manager Growth Show, to our Rainmaker Podcast, our efforts are diverse and always evolving. We’re seeking a leader to refine and maximize these initiatives, bringing expertise in automation, lead nurturing, and data analysis to streamline and elevate our marketing strategies.

Major Responsibilities

The Marketer will be expected to

  • Lead Generation & Nurturing: Develop and optimize lead scoring models to support qualified lead handoffs to our sales teams.
  • Inbound Marketing & Conversion Optimization: Optimize targeted, data-driven email campaigns to attract, engage, and convert leads across regions, driving event attendance and digital engagement.
  • Event Tracking & Performance Analysis: Oversee tracking for events and measure engagement metrics, using insights to refine campaign strategies for future events.
  • Buyer Journey & Channel Performance Optimization: Continually assess and enhance the buyer journey, identifying key touchpoints to foster engagement. Monitor email marketing performance and lead nurturing channels, optimizing campaigns for maximum conversion.
  • Campaign Management in Salesforce: Implement and monitor campaigns within Salesforce, tracking inbound leads, analyzing performance, and providing actionable insights to improve lead management.

Preferred Qualifications

The Marketer at minimum should:

  • Demonstrate expertise with marketing automation tools, particularly Pardot and Hubspot.
  • Have hands-on experience in email marketing and lead nurturing within a B2B context.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Have excellent analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to campaign improvement.
  • Be collaborative, communicative, and able to work closely with cross-functional teams.
