Business Development Representative

Job Description: Using your exceptional organizational skills, you will work collaboratively with senior sales team members to manage the prospective customer pipeline, and work towards targets monthly. Your innate people skills will allow you to successfully connect with prospects. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, where tasks and priorities change regularly, and as an adaptable, self-motivated team player, you will naturally invest high levels of energy at work to achieve individual and team goals. With previous experience working in a corporate environment, you will be proficient in using Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite, and your strong written and verbal communication skills will be underpinned by your high attention to detail.

Key requirements for role:

  • Work in partnership with the senior sales team to grow client pipeline
  • Adoption of disciplined sales management practices, including full utilization of CRM tools for effective tracking of client activity and pipeline
  • Ability to plan and focus activity on the areas that will make the biggest impact
  • Entrepreneurial, able to come up with innovative ways of accessing prospects
  • Strong one-to-one / small group relationship management and selling skills
  • Clear communicator at all levels with the ability to articulate complex messages in a language the client can understand
  • Good Asset Management product and capital market knowledge (preferred)
  • Confident, self-reliant and good team player
  • Ability to leverage resources internally
  • Driven to achieve results

Primary responsibilities:

  • Sales-oriented activities
  • Sales lead handling and qualification
  • Setting up meetings with prospects
  • Answering prospects questions and helping progress leads through the pipeline
