The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) has named a new executive managing director to head up its portfolio solutions business.
Kevin Kerr has been promoted to the position effective immediately, moving up from his former role as senior managing director and head of the OTPP’s infrastructure and natural resources in the Americas. Kerr has been affiliated with the pensions since November 1998, beginning as VP and global head of transactions and infrastructure. He holds board membership in several companies based in Canada, the UK, New Zealand, Chile, and Mexico.
As of June 30, OTPP holds net assets valued at $255.8B with an annual total-fund net return of 9.3%. The pension fund has invested in public and private equities, fixed income, credit, commodities, natural resources, infrastructure, real estate, and venture growth in more than 50 countries.
