The UK’s LGPS Central said it has named a former Aon associate partner as investment fund and strategy manager, adding a new member to its investment committee.
Louis-Paul Hill brings over two decades of investment advisory experience across both local government pension schemes (LGPS) and the private sector. He most recently freelanced as independent advisor for Cumbria Pension Fund, and prior to that served as investment consultant at Aon where he worked for over 14 years, advising for £2B to £10B LGPS funds. From 2001 to 2010, Hill worked at State Street, where he managed a team of relationship managers handling LGPS, pension, and asset-owner investments.
LGPS Central said Hall’s addition “complements other key hires” to its fixed income team and would support its intention to “transition assets in line with the government’s vision for pooling.” The team currently manages a diversified portfolio which includes investment grade credit, emerging market debt, and UK gilt portfolios for the $56B central England-based pension.
