Illinois SURS Commits $100M to Infrastructure

The State Universities Retirement System of Illinois (SURS) announced a $100M commitment to infrastructure in a September 18 news release.

The $100M commitment was allocated to Pantheon Global Infrastructure Core Plus Fund V, a global-focused private infrastructure fund strategy. 

SURS has an ongoing investment relationship with Pantheon, investing $57M in the Pantheon Global Infrastructure Fund IV as well as a total investment of $519M in various Pantheon private equity funds. 

The news release, reporting on the September 13 board meeting, also disclosed that the board approved a fiscal-year 2025 investment plan. The approved plan can be found here.
