ECI Partners Stakes UK Pensions Advisor IGG

British private equity firm ECI Partners announced in an October 30 press release that it has made an investment in UK pension consultant Independent Governance Group (IGG).

IGG serves 386 pension schemes representing assets valued at £324B (~$420B), offering core services in pensions and employee benefits communications and investment governance expertise. 

PwC provided corporate finance and commercial due diligence assistance to ECI, while Squire Patton Boggs served as legal counsel, A&M provided financial due diligence, and Clearwater debt advisory services. 

KPMG advised on corporate finance for IGG, PwC provided financial, commercial and tax due diligence, Gately served as legal counsel, Eversheds as management legal counsel, and Liberty as management corporate finance advisor. Debt financing was provided by Crescent Credit Europe.
