Chicago LABF Selects Emerging Market Equity Manger

The Laborers’ & Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity & Benefit Fund of Chicago selected ARGA Investment Management as their new Emerging Market Equity Manager, according to minutes from the March 7th board meeting.

Three other firms were in consideration for the role, including Lazard Asset Management Company LLC, EARNEST Partners, and Driehaus Capital Management LLC. Each firm presented to the board. 

As of December 31, 2023, the Annuity & Benefit fund had a market value of $1.07 million.
