Baltimore Retirement Invests $50M in Private Markets

The City of Baltimore Employees Retirement System has approved two commitments to private equity and private credit totalling $50 million, per June 20th meeting minutes. 

$35 million was allocated to Stellex Capital Partners III, a private equity buyout fund strategy. 

A $15 million allocation was made to private credit strategy, Frazier Life Sciences Public Fund.

At the end of fiscal year 2023, the Retirement System was valued at $2.02 billion.
