Dakota Marketplace is the leading intelligence platform on Institutional and RIA data. Our platform is used by hundreds of investment firms to enable their sales teams with the most up-to-date and accurate data on their prospects. We are a rapidly growing startup company that has grown to $5MM in ARR in less than 2 years. We are looking to add new members to the marketing team located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

We are looking to hire a Data Research Analyst to add to our team who will help to guide all aspects of the data platform for industry data collected and analyzed. You will execute and continue to elevate a best-in-class research program that differentiates Dakota and drives a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise, analysis and insight. Our Analyst will be responsible for achieving data excellence and to enhance our offerings in the area of business intelligence.

You will have primary responsibility for research, collection, aggregation, cleansing and input of data into our proprietary database. Our Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing certain aspects of the investment industry and synthesizing findings into our proprietary database.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the researching, collecting, aggregating, cleansing and inputting of data into our proprietary database
• Responsible for consistently increasing number of validated database accounts and contacts to our proprietary database
• Substantiating key data points among investment organizations necessary for inclusion into our database
• Set up processes to ensure data excellence within our proprietary database
• Expand and improve the research platform, program and output that demonstrates the firm’s market expertise through data excellence
• Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
• Ability to execute on ad-hoc data projects as necessary

• Command of requisite technology including Excel and Salesforce
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field
• 1+ years of experience in Data Research Analyst role
• Investment industry experience preferred
• Motivated self-starter with a desire to succeed and contribute to the success of a team
