Lee joined Dakota in April of 2022 as the Director of Strategic Relationships. Prior to joining Dakota, Lee was a Senior Strategic Advisor to EJF Capital, LLC headquartered in Washington, DC. In the past, Lee has also held the role of Managing Partner and led strategy at the private equity firm Kudu Investment Management and served on the CAIS Advisory Board. Over the last fifteen years Lee was a leadership team member at BlackRock, JP Morgan and PIMCO, where he served on various executive, operating and global investment committees.
Before becoming an executive leader, Lee was an institutional and middle market account manager covering Fortune 1000 companies, Governmental Entities and separate account relationships. Lee began his career as a university coach and professor assistant. Lee earned a BSE, MA in Foreign Literature and Languages from the University at Albany, MBA in Finance from Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver and completed the Negotiation and Leadership Program at Harvard Kennedy School. His quest for knowledge drives his ongoing education.
Lee serves several charities that seek to protect at-risk youth and promote better inner-city education. His passions and hobbies include surfing, writing and working with his sons athletic programs. Lee is the author of Thirteen Waves, an Amazon best seller, published in December 2020.
